FAQ: Where can I find the spectrum and the appropriate excitation and emission wavelengths for my fluorophore?

Fluorophores.org is a non-profit website started by the Applied Sensor Group at the Graz University of Technology in Austria. As stated on the website, “The objective of Fluorophores.org is to provide an accurate, high valuable and comprehensive catalogue of fluorescent (luminescent) dyes, their properties and applications.”

Currently over 600 different fluorophores can be found on Fluorophores.org along with their excitation and emission wavelengths, as well as recommended solvents or pH.

You can use this resource to try to find your fluorophore of choice. Or you can always contact your local BMG LABTECH representative and they will be more than happy to assist you.
