Did you know that there is a new Cell-based assay article on Biocompare - Cell-Based Assays: Stepping Stones to Animal Studies

An article recently published on Biocompare.com (Cell-Based Assays: Stepping Stones to Animal Studies) discusses how new cell-based assays are being used more often and are beginning to replace or supplant animal studies. With more and more pressure from governments and outsides groups to limit testing on animals, the need has arisen to do more preliminary testing using cell-based assays. This article nicely highlights several new and different technologies that will improve cell-based assays, which should in turn reduce the number of animal studies.

Some of new cell-based assay developments include:

Cell-based microplate assays like GFP
are significantly improved when using
Direct Optic Bottom Reading on the PHERAstar FS.

To learn more about cell-based microplate assays, please visit the “Microbial Growth/Cellular Analysis” section in BMG LABTECH’s Applications Center. Or if you are trying to create your own cell-based microplate assay, please contact your local BMG LABTECH representative and they will be more than happy to assist you.
